“I believe therapy is most meaningful when people feel safe, understood, and supported in making sense of their experiences within the context of their relationships, culture, and everyday lives. As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, life transitions, and feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed. My approach is integrative and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Emotion- Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I aim to help clients better understand emotional patterns, strengthen communication, and develop practical strategies that support meaningful and sustainable change. I view clients as experts in their own lives and strive to create a respectful, supportive space where strengths and resilience can emerge alongside new perspectives. I am particularly passionate about supporting members of the Indo-Caribbean community, the South Asian diaspora, and Muslim individuals and families, and I value the role that culture, faith, migration experiences, and intergenerational expectations can play in shaping wellbeing. I work to provide a culturally responsive space where these experiences can be explored with care and respect. Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and reaching out takes courage. I welcome the opportunity to connect and explore how we can work together toward your goals.”

Hello, my name is Ramanpreet (Raman), and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Certificate in Mental Health and Disability Management. My academic and professional path reflects my deep curiosity and passion for understanding the brain, the mind, and the ways we can foster resilience and healing.

I have experience providing emotional support through crisis lines, volunteer work, and psychoeducational workshops, working with individuals from a variety of cultural and life backgrounds. As a South Asian, I bring both lived experience and cultural sensitivity to my work with BIPOC communities. I understand the ways identity, culture, and systemic barriers can shape mental health, and I strive to create a therapeutic space where all aspects of your identity feel seen, respected, and valued.

My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and collaboration. I believe therapy is a space for self-discovery, growth, and empowerment. Whether you are navigating stress, life transitions, identity exploration, or emotional challenges, my goal is to work alongside you in building resilience and finding balance. Above all, I want you to know that this is a space where you can come exactly as you are, and together we will work toward the version of life that feels most true to you.
